lunar nodes || evolution + orientation

I feel like what people see as a truly evolved being, is someone who properly harnesses the influence of the lunar nodes. Living life slightly detached from the material plane, there’s a sense of been here + done this, what’s next? One has an integrated understanding of who they are, where they’ve been, and what direction to follow.

With the influence of ketu (south node), they see the faulty foundation, the ugly truth, the manifestations of cosmic law, how what we experience, both on a personal and collective dimension reflects lessons humanity must learn during this cosmic stage. This insight gained by withdrawing from society and allowing for divine revelation. Overcoming the bitterness of resenting one’s physical existence, feeling as though life is meaningless, subduing the urge to completely withdraw from the material world and become lost in the void.

Whereas those enthralled in rahu’s (north node) influence have ambitious dreams for the future, they think surface level changes are actually addressing deep rooted problems, believe technology alone will solve complex issues, they may become obsessed with being competitively innovative, there’s desire to feel as though they have free reign to do whatever they please on the material plane. Often with disregard for karmic consequences, disconnected from an integrated understanding of cosmic law, reluctant to acknowledge a power higher than self.

Ketu is content with its inner knowing and feels divinely oriented through life. The old soul, evolved being who seeks to be of service to the Divine and share their wisdom with others. Rahu executes the plan, a plan to actualize one’s desires on one’s own terms and by one’s own means depending upon the rahu/ketu axis in one’s chart, as well as, the nakshatras.

Ketu is the yin that absorbs and synthesizes wisdom, the black hole that births creativity, the tether to our past. Rahu is the yang that seeks external experiences, works towards actualizing goals, the tether to our future. The duality of the nodes creates complete enrichment in one’s life, the experience of the present. The present being a space in time that transverses the past and future, where we actively mold and reorient our lives within the complex web of the multiverse.

For the most part, society prepares us for the rahu themes of life. We understand the concept of building a career, making a name for yourself, accumulating assets. There are thousands of people ready to teach you about manifesting your material desires. We’ve seen plenty of examples of paving one’s way in the material world. But the ketu, spiritual part of life can feel like a journey through tempestuous waters. Once deep within our spiritual journey it becomes difficult not to become overwhelmed by the process of remembrance, ego transmutation, healing past traumas, experiences of disillusionment, and encounters with the supernatural.

Together the lunar nodes reveal a path where one is divinely oriented with their destiny, as karma unfolds in tandem with the influence of the Divine. One gains greater sovereignty as they balance out their karma. They exist within the physical world, but with a sense of detachment because they have learned how to see beyond illusion. One isn’t disoriented by societal illusions. One has mastered self-control, not led astray by exaggerated desires for external validation and carnal pleasures.

The oriented, evolved being understands the importance of community, the gift of pleasure, they enjoy life, understand that we aren’t separate individuals competing, we are a collective and each have meaningful contributions to make towards our betterment. They live with a wealth of accumulated wisdom, a connection to the Divine Creator, have an intrinsic sense of self-worth, and become a guiding force in the lives of others.

Throughout one’s lifetime there is a constant flux between focusing on the spiritual + material, as well as, the personal + collective. We evolve on many different planes of existence and in ways that transcend space and time. We have the ability to heal from past trauma, close old timelines, withdraw and surrender to the unknown, create relationships with interdimensional beings + ancestors, rewrite our future and impact the future of others.
